There was no surprise in Carolina where 6th rankedOsos (4-22) were crushed by fourth ranked Gigantes (12-12) 105-82 on Sunday. Carolina dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Osos 's 42. Carolina looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Kobi Simmons (196-1997, college: Arizona) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists. His fellow American import center Montrezl Harrell (203-1994, college: Louisville) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Mali power forward Cheick Diallo (206-1996, college: Kansas) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Jordan Howard (180-1996, college: Cent Arkansas) scored 17 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 12-12 record. Manati lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 22 games lost.
